Version 10.0.1 – Top New Features

Posted in News by tharnett on November 17, 2009

Yesterday we released version 10.0 of MarketDelta and it has significant some significant enhancements. There are numerous new features and enhancements to existing capabilities, more than 40 in all. This release includes, for the first time, the ability to submit trading orders directly to supported brokerages from within MarketDelta charts and trading systems. While MarketDelta has long supported brokerage execution via intermediary software, Version 10.0 implements direct-to-brokerage connectivity and support for a broader range of brokerage clients, with more to come.

The brokerage feeds that are supported in version 10.0.1 are the following:
1. Zen Fire & Rithmic (BETA) – To use Zen Fire or Rithmic, you must install the beta version of MarketDelta. This is available at www.marketdelta.com/downloads.
2. Interactive Brokers – live trading supported in the latest release of MarketDelta.
3. Infinity/TransAct – trading not yet supported but is planned for year end.
4. Access to brokerage services when the market data source is a non-broker data feed (e.g. DTN IQFEED, eSignal) is planned for future 10.0 development. For now, to use MarketDelta to trade will require one of the supported brokerage data sources above.
5. A list of brokers that use these data feeds can be found here.
6. A video showing the complete trading overview can be found here. It is comprehensive and last 52 minutes, but broken up in small chapters.

Another great feature of Version 10 is a robust trading simulator that can be used with any realtime data source to practice trade. You can place simulated trading orders, observe the status of working orders, and revise stops and limit prices easily. As positions are opened and closed, the associated portfolio window updates automatically showing detailed information about each open position in real-time. Watch this video for more info on sim trading.

Product performance has been improved and features have been introduced for coping with the extremely fast market trading conditions that occur from time to time. More information can be found here.
