Summary

This is a customer facing role that will require a technically savvy person. This position’s primary responsibility is supporting active traders who need technical assistance via phone, email, and chat. This role will also be actively involved in the sales process through customer interaction.  A solid understanding of the financial markets will greatly aid in the success of this role. A solid understanding of the MarketDelta software is preferred but not necessary. A very self motivated person with strong work ethic is required. Trading experience is a plus due to all the sales prospects that call in and the questions they ask.  Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience, but starting range is 35k to 45k with health benefits and 401k after 90 days. This position is at our headquarters in the western suburbs of Chicago.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist customers through the setup, implementation, and troubleshooting of the MarketDelta software. 
  • Respond to inbound sales questions and participate in the sales process.  Be able to clearly explain the benefits MarketDelta provides and assist answering question about MarketDelta and the markets in general
  • Work closely with application development to ensure features are properly understood/documented.
  • Work closely with remote employees to collectively troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
  • Work closely with QA teams to verify application functionality is thoroughly tested.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Technical background or high level of technical competency.  i.e. Quick learner of new software, processes, etc.
  • Knowledge of the trading industry, trading products, exchanges, order types
  • Must be able to work closely with others, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrates tact when dealing with others and reacts well under pressure.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service/support experience desirable.
  • Must be a clear thinker with ability to reason through and conceptualize abstract problems.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision (self-motivated, self-disciplined, strong work ethic).
  • 6mo to 1 year using MarketDelta a plus.
  • 1-2 years trading or brokerage a plus.
  • Required - At least 35 words per minute typing skills
  • General knowledge of IT and networking is a plus but not required.
  • 2-3 years experience using any kind of charting or technical analysis software, a plus
  • Required - Bachelor’s degree or higher education
